My Little Princess

I made a card yesterday for my sweet little princess, Hannah.  She changes into her tutu when she gets home every day.  Although she LOVES wearing her tutu, she is not so fond of dance class. (tears) She is afraid of the teacher. (big tears).

Here is my card:

The image is Cling Stamps "Little Princess" and the sentiment is Inkadinkado's "Friendship" clear stamps collection.  The base of the card is AC cardstock and the patterned paper is BasicGrey Sweet Threads. I used Prismacolors and Gamsol for the coloring and dressed it up with Stickles, BoBunny bling and a bow from Glitz trim.

I am entering this card in the BasicGrey Challenge , Wish Upon a Star.

Thanks for looking.

MoJo Monday Challenge-#229

This is my first time to enter the challenge over at MoJo Monday Sketch Challenge.  This weeks challenge was based on this sketch.  The Design Team over there offer lots of inspiration and I can get lost for a couple of hours just browsing their blogs.

Here is my interpretation...

For this I used AC Cardstock for the base (black and brown), My Mind's Eye - Lost & Found, and BasicGrey - Life of the Party (plaid) paper.  The owl stamp is KaiserCraft colored with Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  The Happy Birthday stamp is Hero Arts - Anyone Can Stamp.  Flower is sei and the pearl is from my stash.

Thanks for looking and have a Blessed week-end!

Polka Dots and Springtime!

I am looking forward to some springtime weather in Texas next month!  I've been in Singapore with hubby since January and will head to Texas on March 9th.  There are no seasons here ...  just hot, hot, and hot.  So I do look forward to a little bit cooler weather in Texas, even if not for long.  Springtime means lots of birthdays in our family, 4 guys in March and 4 girls in April.  Funny how that turned out.  Anyway, here is the first of my girl cards ...

Papers I used were AC cardstock for the base, BasicGrey Sweet Threads (floral), and My Minds Eye Lime Twist (polkadots). Stamp is from Alias Smith & Rowe. I also used Nestabilities Oval and Scalloped Oval, Copic Markers, Stickles.  Charm is sei and "darling" brad and ribbon are from my stash.

I entered this card in the CES Challenge #73 - Spots and Dots

Thanks for stopping by!

A Card for my Newest Valentine - Jake

Good morning!  I am excited to get this little blog started, so I am happy to share my first card.  I struggled with my valentine cards a bit this year because I am currently living in two places--back and forth between Texas and Singapore.  I love stamping and using my Prismacolor pencils and Gamsol.  However, I can't find the mineral spirits here, so I am forced to sharpen my skills with my Copic markers.  I still need lots of practice, but I am getting better.  I love this Little Boy stamp from Clear Art Stamps!  It reminds me of my "Dick and Jane" book as a little girl.  Here is my card for my newest little valentine --- Jake.

Things I used:
Clear Art Stamps - Little boy
Copic Markers
Paper - BasicGrey Sweet Threads
Spellbinders Nestabilities - Ovals and heart
